Common questions

Questions people ask before launching.

If your pet is missing now, start your alert first. You can review these answers while it runs.

Is this a scam?

No, and you shouldn't take our word for it. You can view your live alert yourself, contact comes directly to you, and unfound searches are refunded in full.

How do I know my alert actually ran?

We send you a link to see it live, plus updates on how many neighbors it reached.

What happens when someone sees my pet?

They contact you directly using the contact method you choose during setup, so you can act on sightings immediately.

What am I paying for?

You are paying for your pet's photo to be shown to neighbors around the last-seen spot. Bigger search areas reach more people across more neighborhoods.

How is this different from posting in neighborhood groups myself?

Manual posting is still valuable. Keep doing it. Your alert adds the part that is hard to do alone: getting your pet's photo in front of thousands of nearby people fast.

Can you guarantee my pet will be found?

We can't promise a reunion, which is why unfound searches are refunded in full.

How fast should I launch an alert?

As soon as possible. Alerts launched in the first hours consistently perform best because your pet is usually closer and recognition is more likely.

What information should I prepare before starting?

Have 1-3 clear photos, the last-seen location, and a short description with type, color, size, name, and anything distinctive.

How does the map and search-area slider work?

The slider is a planning tool that previews your search radius and estimated neighbors reached. Reach numbers are honest estimates, not guarantees.

Do I still need to do offline search steps?

Yes. Keep checking nearby streets, calling shelters and vets, posting in groups, and putting up flyers while your alert runs in parallel.

How can I contact support?

Use the contact form on the Contact page or email info@yourpetfinders.com. If your pet is currently missing, start your alert first and contact support for follow-up questions.
